The Prayer Team
We need prayer and communion with God daily: individually and corporately. You don't have to be perfect to pray or have a perfect prayer. Pray as God guides you, as HIS Spirit prompts you. This should not be overwhelming to anyone. The prayer team is not a club or a clíque; it is a gathering of believers to support, encourage, and help others through prayer to Our Father God. We are one through the communion of the Holy Spirit in Christ! Praise God!
Areas of Ministry
Prayer Tree
A group of believers praying for the needs and requests of the body. (Also known as a line, chain, or circle.)
Prayer Shield
Believers who have accepted the challenge to pray daily for the needs and requests of those in authority at The Pines--pastor, elders, governing board, administration, and team leaders.
Weekly Prayer Gatherings
A group of people who would like to gather on a weekly basis to pray for the needs and requests of the body. (A time and location to be determined by those who are called to pray.)
Pre-Service Prayer
A time and room set aside for believers who would like to pray for the body prior to the Sunday morning service.
Post-Service Prayer
Believers who are available after the service for prayer for specific needs presented during or after the service. This area of ministry has started with the elders and their wives on a weekly rotation.
Joining the Team
If you are interested in joining these prayer efforts call the church office (651-653-4950) for current meeting times and locations or to be added to the prayer tree. In the mean time, begin to pray as God's Spirit leads you.
Submitting Prayer Requests
You currently can submit your requests by filling out a welcome card and placing it in the offering basket, or by calling or emailing the church office. Please remember to keep the prayer team updated on the requests you submit.
Keep an eye out for new ways to submit your requests. We are putting together an online form so that you will be able to submit your requests online. We also hope to improve our voice messaging system in the near future.
